Liam Coghlan, AIF®

Wealth Advisor

Joining Butson Financial Advisors branch of Stratos Wealth Partners in May 2021, Liam brought a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an Accounting Minor from Robert Morris University. His initial accomplishments include earning the AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) Designation and the full Financial Advisor Licensing complement of the SIE, Series 7 (held through LPL Financial) and Series 66 (held through Stratos Wealth Partners), and the Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses all in order and all in the first attempt.

The family-owned dry-cleaning business offered Liam the perspective and insight necessary for a successful career working within the business community. The family business experience provided entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, along with the ability to build meaningful client relationships. That wealth of experience can be put to work providing business owners with valuable planning strategies in their daily, uncompromising environment.

Liam is responsible for servicing the Employees and Participants within 401(k) Qualified Plans at Butson Financial Advisors.  He is responsible for building customized financial plans for those 401(k) Participants to aid in their journey to Financial Independence. Liam is also responsible for the coordination and installation of new 401(k) Qualified Plans.

Butson Financial Advisors was built on the foundation of providing solid financial planning strategies for business owners and individuals. Liam is committed to that tradition as he services his personal Clients and helps the Practice grow and extend its reach into the Western Pennsylvania community.

Liam is a life-long Pittsburgher who currently lives in Bellevue. He is a die-hard baseball fan and continues to play in an adult, wood-bat league. Whether it is playing golf, tennis, or snowboarding he enjoys being outside and staying active. The time he is most grateful for is spent with family and teaching his nephew (Torin) how to throw a baseball.
